Deluxe Guitar Exchange

I started playing the guitar when I was six. My grandfather played the guitar so I guess it just came naturally for me to want to play. When I expressed an interest, my wonderful parents took me down to the local music store and bought me a great Gibson acoustic as my first guitar. Among the many things I am thankful for from my parents, having them spend the money to buy me that guitar when they probably couldn't afford to at the time ranks right up there at the top.

When I began thinking about opening a retail and web guitar store I knew that I wanted to offer only the very best in low-production, handmade guitars and amplifiers. Also, I wanted to offer a customer experience that was friendly, relaxed and fun. Deluxe Guitar Exchange is totally committed to offering the best guitars and amps from builders invested in tone first.  Most of the guitar and amps lines we carry are hand built by craftsmen in small shops whose annual output is a tiny fraction of what the big production guitar companies build each year.

Because Deluxe Guitar Exchange is so focused on custom guitars I have reserved Mondays as "Appointment Only" for those who want to take the extra time and design a special guitar from one of our many custom builders to your specs. The retail location in Greenville, SC is in a great old building with exposed brick walls and sits in the heart of the arts and entertainment district called the West End. The vibe is definitely cool and matches the tone focus of the instruments found inside. Please feel free to come by, introduce yourself and say hi. If we are open, I am always there.
